Privacy policy
This policy explains how Goldenstarhouse handles personal information. It applies to the website goldenstarhouse.com. Last updated: 25 août 2026.
Who publishes this site
The publisher is Palas Homes Ltd., registered address 8660 Pigott Rd, Richmond BC V7A 2C4, registration number BC1153982. For privacy questions, write to [email protected].
What we collect
This site has no user accounts, no newsletter, no analytics package, no advertising network, no tracking pixel, no social plugin and no third-party script of any kind.
The contact form on the contact page does not transmit data to a server and does not store anything. It only shows a thank-you state in your browser. Nothing you type into that form is sent to Goldenstarhouse unless you choose to email us separately.
Cookie-consent choice
The only information stored on your device by this site is your cookie-consent choice. It is stored as a first-party cookie named cookie-consent, with the value accept or refuse, on the goldenstarhouse.com domain, for up to twelve months. Nothing is written before you make a choice.
Server logs
Like most hosts, the hosting provider may keep standard server logs (for example IP address, date and time, requested URL and user-agent) for security and continuity of service. Those logs are retained by the host for a limited period that does not exceed twelve months, then deleted or anonymised according to the host’s practices.
Purposes and legal bases
- Remembering cookie preference — to record whether you accepted or refused the consent cookie. Legal basis: your consent. Retention: up to twelve months, or until you clear it or reopen the choice and decide again.
- Operating and securing the website — through host server logs. Legal basis: legitimate interest in keeping the site available and secure. Retention: up to twelve months.
- Answering email you send us — if you write to [email protected]. Legal basis: legitimate interest in responding to readers, or pre-contractual steps if your message concerns a legal request. Retention: as long as needed to handle the request, then deleted within twenty-four months unless a longer period is required by law.
No sale or transfer
We do not sell, rent, share or transfer personal information to third parties for their marketing. We do not send reader data abroad for processing beyond what the host may perform to deliver the website itself.
Your rights
Depending on applicable Canadian privacy law, you may have the right to:
- access the personal information we hold about you;
- request rectification of inaccurate information;
- request erasure where appropriate;
- request restriction of processing;
- object to processing based on legitimate interests;
- request portability of information you provided, where applicable.
To exercise these rights, write to [email protected] with enough detail for us to identify your request. We will respond within the time limits required by law.
Complaints
You may lodge a complaint with the Office of the Privacy Commissioner of Canada. Further information is available at https://www.priv.gc.ca/.
Children
The site is not directed at children and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children.
Changes
We may update this policy. The date at the top of this page will change when we do. Continued use of the site after an update constitutes notice of the revised policy where permitted by law.
